Responsibilities
- Define requirements for motor control software and interfacing hardware components.
- Design and implement motor controller functionality, behaviors, and algorithms.
- Translate algorithms into software implementation and integrate with the firmware framework.
- Test, validate, and troubleshoot controller implementations.
- Develop and validate motor control algorithms in the lab and in-vehicle.
- Influence research and development in component technologies affecting designs.
- Advance Tau's intellectual property in electric motor design and controls.
Job Requirements
- Strong fundamentals of AC electric motors and drive systems analysis.
- Background in linear systems analysis, stability, and controller design.
- Proficiency with embedded firmware development in C/C++.
- Model development and data analysis in Python or Matlab/Simulink.
- Strong communication skills and preference for teamwork.
- Master or PhD in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field.
- In-depth understanding of motor control techniques and experience with control system theory.
