Responsibilities
- Design and build hardware systems for automotive and energy storage applications.
- Develop and optimize designs using 3D CAD software and associated CAE tools.
- Validate manufacturing, assembly, and service feasibility.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to incorporate technical and product engineering inputs into designs.
- Complete and release component designs and documentation, including 2D drawings.
- Integrate mechanical designs with high-voltage electrical systems.
- Develop DFMEA and DVP for mechanical designs.
Job Requirements
- 5 years of relevant industry experience, especially in automotive powertrain systems.
- Strong 3D CAD skills and proficiency in at least one professional 3D CAD package.
- Demonstrated understanding of GD&T and experience with component design, analysis, and validation.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding and die casting.
- Excellent technical and interpersonal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent; advanced degrees preferred.
- Hands-on mechanical fabrication and prototyping experience is a plus.
