Responsibilities
- Design components for vacuum chambers and process equipment.
- Create drawings for suppliers to source quality parts.
- Perform thermal and mechanical analysis of assemblies.
- Install and troubleshoot assemblies in collaboration with technicians.
- Develop and execute test plans for electro-mechanical devices.
- Optimize performance of in-house designed devices and adapt commercial equipment.
- Contribute to engineering practices and documentation standards.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Familiarity with supplier interactions for quality parts.
- Desire to learn engineering standards and best practices.
- 3+ years of experience with vacuum or materials processing equipment.
- Knowledge of dimensioning and tolerance analysis (ASME Y14.5M).
- Experience with computational fluid dynamics and finite element analysis.
