Responsibilities
- Develop product designs for component and system assemblies for ion implantation systems.
- Create conceptual designs based on marketing requests and brainstorming sessions.
- Conduct detailed design work, including engineering calculations and FEA simulations.
- Ensure designs meet requirements for cost, reliability, safety, and serviceability.
- Generate documentation, including assembly drawings, BOMs, and assembly procedures.
- Assemble and test prototypes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including scientists and engineers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficient in SolidWorks 3D CAD Design.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks PDM.
- Experience with FEA simulation for thermal and mechanical stress is desirable.
- Knowledge of vacuum system design is a plus.
- Understanding of manufacturing techniques.
- Willingness to work hands-on in a lab environment for prototype assembly and testing.
