Responsibilities
- Define the structural design of the rocket in coordination with other vehicle component owners.
- Analyze structural components and write margin summaries, developing loads or load cases as needed.
- Procure and manage hardware for the structural components owned.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and test engineers to build and test initial articles.
- Track and disposition non-conformances for structural hardware.
- Manage budget and schedule for owned structural components.
- Ensure understanding and support of hardware from design to functioning product.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience in vehicle structures design, build, or testing.
- Strong command of engineering fundamentals and experience in full lifecycle development projects.
- Proficiency in CAD (NX preferred) and analysis software (ANSYS preferred).
- Ability to execute varying levels of work from hand calculations to complex simulations.
- Familiarity with launch vehicle design and cryogenic propellant is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
