VP of Hardware

The VP of Hardware will lead the hardware engineering function at SPAN, focusing on innovation, development, certification, and execution of hardware solutions to support the company's mission of electrification and reducing carbon emissions.

• Define and drive the hardware vision, strategy, and execution roadmap.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing multidisciplinary team.
• Oversee full product lifecycle from concept through production.
• Establish design, validation, and verification processes for electrical products.
• Ensure compliance with certification and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with software engineering for hardware-software integration.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and represent the company in technical discussions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in hardware engineering, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of bringing hardware products to market.
• Strong understanding of hardware design processes and manufacturing.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and quality standards.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
