Telecommunications Engineer

The Telecommunications Engineer at SpaceX will design and support critical telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber and copper data networks, operational voice systems, and various communication systems for production facilities and spacecraft support.

• Provide engineering support for fiber optic and copper network infrastructure.
• Coordinate downtime activities to minimize disruptions.
• Drive telecommunication projects using design change requests and monitoring data.
• Troubleshoot electrical system problems and conduct studies.
• Coordinate material procurement for large-scale projects.
• Write and manage construction contracts with subcontractors.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize and maintain systems.

• 2+ years of experience in telecommunications systems design or build.
• BICSI RCDD Certification or a bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline.
• Experience with industrial electrical engineering and power systems.
• Knowledge of structured cabling for commercial applications.
• Familiarity with critical power infrastructure and national cabling standards.
• Strong understanding of construction project management principles.
• Ability to work in high-stress environments and extended hours.
