Responsibilities
- Act as the technical point of contact for suppliers, addressing manufacturing and quality challenges.
- Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews and implement production part approval processes (PPAP).
- Collaborate with procurement to assess and source parts from suppliers.
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts at suppliers.
- Validate and ensure the robustness of supplier corrective actions.
- Drive containment activities and collaborate on resolutions with cross-functional teams.
- Innovate and continuously improve the supply base to meet customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a STEM discipline.
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or quality (including relevant collegiate projects).
- Knowledge of quality systems and manufacturing processes.
- Strong communication skills for presentations and supplier interactions.
- Ability to make timely decisions in ambiguous situations.
- Experience in a fast-paced design environment, particularly in relevant industries like aerospace.
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed.
