Responsibilities
- Act as the technical point of contact for suppliers, addressing manufacturing and quality challenges.
- Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews to ensure manufacturability of outsourced parts.
- Partner with procurement to strategically source parts aligned with supplier capabilities.
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts at suppliers.
- Validate supplier corrective actions for sustainability across manufacturing lines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive containment activities and resolutions.
- Demonstrate innovation and drive for results in improving the supply base.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a STEM discipline.
- 1+ years of manufacturing, supply chain, or quality experience.
- Knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9000/TS/AS9100/NADCAP) and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with quality tools such as Lean principles and statistical process control.
- Strong communication skills for presentations and supplier interactions.
- Ability to think creatively and solve complex problems with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% and work extended hours as needed.
