Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical point of contact for assigned rocket parts and assemblies, addressing manufacturing and quality challenges.
- Own new product introduction for rocket assemblies, determining manufacturing methods and developing reliable processes.
- Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews to ensure manufacturability prior to sourcing.
- Collaborate with procurement to identify and vet exceptional suppliers.
- Create specifications to communicate quality and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
- Explore new technologies and suppliers to enhance manufacturing rate, quality, and efficiency.
- Review and resolve issues on assigned parts, implementing changes and driving actions to closure.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or inspection of mechanical products.
- Fundamental understanding of propulsion/fluid systems and their manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with machining and operations such as milling and turning.
- Experience with engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Knowledge of supplier quality processes and statistical techniques.
- Proficient in MS Office and report writing.
