Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical point of contact for assigned rocket parts and assemblies, addressing manufacturing and quality challenges.
  • Own new product introduction for rocket assemblies, determining manufacturing methods and developing reliable processes.
  • Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews to ensure manufacturability prior to sourcing.
  • Collaborate with procurement to identify and vet exceptional suppliers.
  • Create specifications to communicate quality and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
  • Explore new technologies and suppliers to enhance manufacturing rate, quality, and efficiency.
  • Review and resolve issues on assigned parts, implementing changes and driving actions to closure.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or inspection of mechanical products.
  • Fundamental understanding of propulsion/fluid systems and their manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with machining and operations such as milling and turning.
  • Experience with engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Knowledge of supplier quality processes and statistical techniques.
  • Proficient in MS Office and report writing.
