Responsibilities
- Design and analyze solar array components from photovoltaic cells to assemblies.
- Own and design satellite mechanical systems and tooling for solar array sub-assembly.
- Prepare content for technical design reviews and demonstrate ownership of production outcomes.
- Collaborate with various teams to achieve optimal vehicle outcomes.
- Provide analytical rationale for design capability through calculations and FEA.
- Create engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing and operational needs.
- Write and execute test procedures and conduct process qualifications.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- 1+ years of experience in mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, or manufacturing.
- Experience with solar array design or solar manufacturing.
- Proficient in mechanical analysis and 3D CAD (NX preferred).
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes for various materials.
- Comfortable with hands-on work and extended hours.
- Ability to travel internationally if needed.
