Responsibilities
- Design and analyze solar array components and mechanical systems for satellite sub-assemblies.
- Prepare content for technical design reviews and ensure production outcomes meet targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize vehicle outcomes.
- Provide analytical rationale for design capabilities through calculations and FEA.
- Complete engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing requirements.
- Write and execute test procedures and verification plans.
- Conduct process qualifications using design of experiments and statistical process control.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience in mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, testing, or manufacturing.
- Experience with solar array design or the solar manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in mechanical analysis, 3D CAD, and dynamic/thermal analysis.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and automation techniques.
- Hands-on capability and willingness to work extended hours and weekends.
- Must be eligible to comply with ITAR requirements for U.S. government regulations.
