Responsibilities
- Question status quo and develop solutions to enable Falcon reuse and launch cadence.
- Plan and execute component flight qualification test plans (e.g., vibration, shock, thermal cycle).
- Troubleshoot and perform root cause investigations of component and flight anomalies.
- Identify flight risks and develop mitigations to ensure mission success.
- Design and analyze new fluid components for Falcon vehicles.
- Generate detailed drawings and specifications, coordinating manufacturing with production groups.
- Engage in hands-on testing and troubleshooting at test/launch sites.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of hands-on hardware experience in fabrication, assembly, or testing.
- 1+ years of experience with CAD or FEA software packages.
- Demonstrated ability to own hardware or systems in an integrated engineering team.
- Knowledge of mechanisms, fluid control components, and test instrumentation.
- Excellent written and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Analytical programming experience (Python, MATLAB, Excel).
