Responsibilities
- Serve as the responsible engineer for the design and qualification of high-voltage batteries and electromechanical components.
- Conduct thermal, structural, dynamic, and tolerance analysis for electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Participate in mechanical design, 3D modeling, and production drawing creation.
- Perform failure analysis related to thermal loads, vibration, and shock.
- Interface with machine shops and production teams for design production.
- Manage hardware delivery timelines through design, assembly, test, and integration.
- Participate in internal design reviews and reviews with suppliers and customers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace engineering, or related field.
- Experience with mechanical/electromechanical hardware design and analysis.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and hands-on experience with electromechanical design.
- Proficiency in hand calculations, finite element analyses (FEA), and CAD software.
- Knowledge of power component design fundamentals (e.g., motors, inverters, batteries).
- Exposure to high-volume production designs with a focus on manufacturability.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an integrated team.
