Responsibilities
- Act as the technical point of contact for assigned parts, addressing manufacturing and quality challenges.
- Review and resolve issues on assigned parts, implementing changes as necessary.
- Create and manage issue tickets, collaborating with engineering counterparts.
- Become familiar with assigned parts and processes, serving as the primary contact for supply chain defects.
- Work with procurement to identify and vet exceptional suppliers.
- Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews to ensure parts are manufacturable.
- Drive the production part approval process (PPAP) to ensure stable supply and improve delivery time.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or inspection of mechanical products.
- Familiarity with machining and operations such as milling and turning.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and models, including GD&T.
- Knowledge of supplier quality processes and statistical techniques.
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, SQL, and PowerBI.
- Willingness to travel up to 60-85% of the work week.
