Responsibilities
- Work closely with vehicle analysts and design teams to ensure solutions meet design and manufacturing requirements.
- Develop production procedures and manage transitions from development to high-rate production.
- Coordinate testing of systems, machinery, and tooling for hardware delivery.
- Execute design changes to enhance production efficiency.
- Create CAD models and prints for flight and tooling components.
- Lead on-site design engineering for efficient part and assembly builds.
- Resolve manufacturing discrepancies interfacing with the quality team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or production (internships and projects qualify).
- Master’s degree in relevant engineering fields preferred.
- Experience with large mechanical assemblies and metallic manufacturing techniques.
- Knowledge of 3D CAD software for mechanical component design.
- Experience with design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA).
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a production environment.
