Responsibilities
- Design packaging solutions for electro-mechanical assemblies
- Conduct thermal, structural, and tolerance analysis for assemblies
- Participate in mechanical design, 3D modeling, and production drawings
- Perform failure analysis related to thermal, loads, vibration, and shock
- Collaborate with machine shops and production teams for design feasibility
- Manage hardware delivery timelines and success from inception to integration
- Lead internal design reviews and participate in supplier/customer reviews
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
- 1+ years of experience with mechanical or electromechanical design and analysis
- Proficiency in CAD and FEA software packages
- Strong skills in hand calculations, finite element analyses, and CAD
- Understanding of high volume production designs and manufacturability
- Knowledge of structural analysis and failure modes
- Experience with thermal and structural FEA studies and testing of assemblies
