Responsibilities
- Develop design concepts and size vehicle structures based on flight loads.
- Collaborate with peers to create designs that balance mass, cost, and capability.
- Generate CAD models in NX for components, assemblies, and vehicle integration.
- Build finite element models to analyze designs and ensure structural integrity.
- Validate designs through development articles and structural testing.
- Partner with build engineers to improve designs and support hardware assembly.
- Engage hands-on in the factory to witness designs being brought to life.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- 1+ years of engineering experience (internship and school projects qualify).
- Strong data analysis skills for decision-making.
- Experience in engineering roles requiring quick, data-driven decisions.
- Passion for building hardware and real-world applications.
- Demonstrated rapid growth and ability to overcome challenges.
- Experience in engineering competitions is a plus.
