Responsibilities
- Own the design, development, and implementation of custom production equipment for the Raptor engine.
- Collaborate with production personnel and multidisciplinary engineering teams to enhance the production facility.
- Solve complex problems with a focus on speed and efficiency.
- Manage multiple projects of varying scope in a fast-paced environment.
- Set and maintain schedules and budgets for designs, ensuring alignment with management and end users.
- Travel to other SpaceX locations as necessary.
- Work in a collaborative team environment with daily interactions across various roles.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or STEM discipline.
- 1+ years of experience in mechanical engineering projects (internship experience qualifies).
- Preferred Master’s degree in mechanical or mechatronic engineering.
- Experience with manufacturing processes and CAD software.
- Knowledge of electromechanical systems and robotic weld applications.
- Familiarity with structural analysis tools like FEMAP or ANSYS.
- Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic environment.
