Responsibilities
- Design, build, and activate custom machinery and infrastructure for Starship production.
- Develop the Starfactory for rapid build, test, and operation of transport architectures.
- Collaborate with vehicle engineers to enhance design and manufacturing processes.
- Execute structural sizing, mechanism design, hardware fabrication, and activation testing.
- Create detailed models and engineering prints in CAD software (e.g., NX).
- Perform engineering calculations and analysis for structural and mechanism sizing.
- Create manufacturing planning for welding and toolmaking teams.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- Experience using CAD software (e.g., Solidworks, NX, CATIA, or ProE).
- 1+ years of experience in designing and analyzing mechanical structures.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in a production facility with equipment and machinery.
- Knowledge of finite element analysis and GD&T.
- Willingness to travel and pass an Air Force background check.
