Responsibilities
- Design, build, and activate custom machinery for Starship production.
- Develop the Starfactory for efficient build, test, and operation of transport architectures.
- Collaborate with vehicle engineers on design and manufacturing processes.
- Execute structural sizing, mechanism design, and hardware fabrication.
- Create detailed models and engineering prints in NX.
- Perform engineering calculations for sizing structures and mechanisms.
- Support machine activation with the controls engineering team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., Solidworks, NX).
- 1+ years of experience in designing and analyzing mechanical structures.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in a production facility with machinery.
- Knowledge of finite element analysis and GD&T.
- Ability to pass an Air Force background check and willingness to travel.
