Responsibilities
- Establish safety tools and procedures for production process planning and optimization
- Perform risk assessments on industrial machinery and design functional safety systems
- Serve as the Laser Safety Officer (LSO) for the department
- Conduct PFMEAs to ensure safe manufacturing processes
- Analyze tooling and ground support equipment for safety and load factors
- Provide safety design guidance on high pressure systems
- Attend test readiness reviews
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, materials, manufacturing, chemical, electrical engineering, or a related STEM field
- 1+ years in a manufacturing, quality, or design engineering role (including internships)
- Knowledge of quality tools and statistical methods
- Proficiency with CAD tools such as NX, Solidworks, Creo, or Catia
- Familiarity with MySQL, Python, R, JMP, and Minitab
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Willingness to relocate to Hawthorne, CA and work extended hours when needed
