Responsibilities
- Engineer automated manufacturing systems using knowledge of mechanical and fluid systems.
- Ensure successful delivery of processes to production by utilizing knowledge in mechanical, process, materials science, and automation controls.
- Model industrial mechanical assemblies and fluid routing using CAD software.
- Create and release manufacturing drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Specify components for purchase and act as a technical point of contact for vendors.
- Drive system integration and activation schedules while meeting tight deadlines.
- Write procedures for manufacturing operations and support control systems for heat shield material production.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, aerospace, materials, or manufacturing engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in aerospace, industrial, chemical, or material manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience with automated mechanical systems in a professional setting.
- Expertise in the design and continuous improvement of manufacturing systems.
- Experience with CAD software and GD&T.
- Familiarity with industrial control systems and SQL or similar database systems.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in translating technical concepts.
