Responsibilities
- Engineer automated manufacturing systems using knowledge of mechanical and fluid systems.
- Utilize knowledge of mechanical, process, materials science, and automation controls for production processes.
- Model mechanical assemblies and fluid routing using CAD software.
- Create and release manufacturing drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Specify components and provide detailed specifications for their purchase.
- Act as a technical point of contact for equipment/system vendors.
- Own and drive system integration and activation schedules.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, aerospace, materials, or manufacturing engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in aerospace, industrial, chemical, or material manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience with automated mechanical and machining/assembly systems.
- Expertise in design, build, operation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing systems.
- Experience with GD&T and mechanical drafting.
- Proficient in CAD software such as Siemens NX or SOLIDWORKS.
- Familiarity with industrial control systems (e.g., PLCs).
