Responsibilities
- Act as the technical point of contact for assigned parts, addressing manufacturing and quality challenges.
- Review issues on assigned parts, implement changes at suppliers, and drive actions to closure.
- Create and disposition issue tickets, working with engineering counterparts.
- Become familiar with assigned parts and processes, serving as the primary contact for supply chain defects.
- Collaborate with procurement to identify and vet suppliers for quality and capability.
- Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews to ensure manufacturability.
- Own the new product introduction (NPI) process and drive the production part approval process (PPAP).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience with manufacturing and/or inspection of mechanical products.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in engineering.
- Experience with machining and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of supplier quality processes and statistical techniques.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, SQL, and PowerBI.
- Ability to pass an Air Force background check and travel as required.
