Responsibilities
- Act as the technical point of contact for assigned parts, solving emergent challenges at suppliers.
- Review issues on assigned parts, implement changes, and drive actions to closure.
- Create and disposition issue tickets, working with engineering to implement necessary changes.
- Become familiar with assigned parts and processes, serving as the primary contact for defects.
- Collaborate with procurement to find and vet exceptional suppliers for quality and capability.
- Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews to ensure manufacturability at early stages.
- Own the new product introduction (NPI) process for new parts and re-sourcing existing parts.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience with manufacturing and/or inspection of mechanical products.
- Experience with machining operations such as milling and turning.
- Knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Familiarity with quality processes and statistical methods.
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, SQL, and PowerBI.
- Ability to travel up to 60-85% of the work week.
