Responsibilities
- Improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for mechanical hardware.
- Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing engineers.
- Drive design for manufacturing feedback and best practices.
- Support procurement in sourcing parts aligned with supplier competencies.
- Define supplier technical and quality requirements.
- Lead resolution of supplier quality issues through root cause analysis.
- Analyze supplier quality and delivery metrics to identify trends.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or process engineering.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in optics, photonics, or precision mechanical design.
- Master’s degree in optics, engineering, business, or supply chain (preferred).
- Knowledge of statistical techniques and lean production concepts.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work long hours and travel up to 60% of the workweek.
