Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and implement machining processes to enhance engine cost, quality, and production rate.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and design engineers to ensure robust processes and quick resolution of production issues.
- Partner with design teams to implement design for manufacturing updates and manage changes into production.
- Implement machining process controls for efficient production with minimal intervention.
- Ensure part quality and drive projects to meet dimensional requirements.
- Develop and implement tools for statistical process control (SPC) in machining processes.
- Oversee the complete machining process from design to inspection.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics.
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (internship/project experience acceptable).
- Strong knowledge of machining concepts and hardware production.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, problem-solving environment.
- Experience in design or product development engineering preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical component design and 3D CAD.
- Familiarity with process development from R&D to volume manufacturing.
