Manufacturing Engineer (Machining)

The role involves working as a Manufacturing Engineer at SpaceX, focusing on developing solutions for space technology and improving manufacturing processes for hardware used in satellite delivery and human spaceflight.

• Provide engineering support for product design and process improvements.
• Analyze manufacturing discrepancies and work with the quality team on corrective actions.
• Create and manage manufacturing BOMs, work instructions, and specifications.
• Communicate with production, machining, maintenance, quality, and design engineering teams.
• Lead projects for alternate component technologies to reduce costs or improve quality.

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or physics.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in design, development, manufacturing, or testing.
• Experience with CNC machinery and CAM programming.
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• CAD experience, preferably with NX & Teamcenter.
• Tooling design and design for manufacturability experience.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or equivalent high-performance culture systems.
