Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design, build, and reliability engineers to build parts on schedule.
- Develop and revise production processes, procedures, equipment, tooling, and layout.
- Drive design for manufacturing and assembly during new product development and improvement cycles.
- Facilitate production of flight-qualified composites structures while reducing costs.
- Resolve complex manufacturing defects through root cause investigation and validation testing.
- Support design for manufacturing and assembly during new product development and improvement cycles.
- Ensure compliance with ITAR requirements for U.S. Government export regulations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of hands-on composites experience (internship and project team experience is applicable).
- Preferred: 3+ years of professional composites or final integration experience.
- Experience with avionics or pneumatic systems on large aerospace structures.
- Hands-on advanced composites manufacturing experience including "out of autoclave" prepreg systems.
- Experience with NX/Unigraphics and Teamcenter CAD and PDM systems.
- Expertise in transitioning products from prototype manufacturing through volume production.
