Responsibilities
- Design detailed electrical specifications for various systems, including power distribution and lighting.
- Provide support to facility technicians for troubleshooting existing electrical equipment.
- Conduct load flow analysis and evaluate electrical equipment.
- Ensure compatibility of electrical designs with mechanical systems and facility power budgets.
- Coordinate electrical installations with local utility personnel.
- Review electrical designs for compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Conduct code review and analysis based on relevant NFPA standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
- 3+ years of professional experience in electrical projects and power distribution systems.
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience and a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Ability to read and understand technical schematics and O&M manuals.
- Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and medium-voltage distribution.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Physical ability to work in various environments and lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
