Electrical Engineer (Avionics)

The Electrical Engineer (Avionics) role involves ensuring the reliability of avionics hardware at SpaceX, collaborating with various teams to improve product reliability, and utilizing data to drive improvements in manufacturing and testing processes.

• Partner with electrical design and avionics manufacturing teams to enhance product reliability.
• Conduct PCBA test failure investigations and perform root cause analysis.
• Identify opportunities for risk reduction and simplification in designs and processes.
• Monitor product yield rates and drive corrective actions for non-conforming products.
• Provide guidance to quality inspectors and technicians on handling non-conforming products.
• Challenge requirements to determine value-added processes for acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with teams to drive improvements in reliability for flight hardware.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, hardware engineering, or engineering physics.
• 1+ years of experience with digital or mixed-signal designs (including internships).
• 1+ years in a manufacturing, reliability, or design engineering role.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical hardware failures.
• Experience with programming and data analysis tools such as Python/SQL/PowerBI.
• Knowledge of quality tools and principles (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
