Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, test, and provide operational support for spacecraft electric thrusters.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs enable efficient production.
- Manage the electric propulsion test facility, including various systems and instrumentation.
- Analyze test data to ensure hardware operates as expected.
- Lead investigations and redesigns to enhance reliability and production rate.
- Develop and execute qualification test plans for flight readiness.
- Take ownership of critical spaceflight hardware, ensuring accountability and quality.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, physics, mechanical, or similar engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in designing, building, and testing electric propulsion systems.
- Master’s degree preferred in a relevant engineering field.
- Strong understanding of vacuum chamber operations, thermodynamics, and plasma physics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and Matlab.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team in high-pressure environments.
- Willingness to obtain a Top Secret clearance is desired.
