Responsibilities
- Solve complex mechanical, thermal, magnetic, and fluid system problems on propulsion hardware.
- Own hardware from conceptual design through production and on-orbit operation.
- Collaborate with thermal, materials, electrical, mechanical, software, and GNC teams.
- Develop design criteria and drive system-level optimization.
- Establish an efficient product lifecycle from supply chain to final integration.
- Perform tests and validate hardware to ensure compliance with design criteria.
- Conduct root cause investigations for hardware failures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- Experience with CAD and FEA software packages.
- 1+ years of industry experience (internships/co-ops can apply).
- Master’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and analysis preferred.
- Hands-on experience with electric or chemical propulsion systems.
- Familiarity with GD&T concepts and experience with manufacturing processes.
