Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on turbomachinery design for Starship propulsion.
- Design, build, and test turbopumps for the propulsion system.
- Perform structural analysis on components and assemblies.
- Develop and train teammates to support product ownership.
- Interface with production teams to ensure successful translation of designs.
- Maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations.
- Work extended hours and weekends as needed for critical issues.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical design and structural analysis.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and GD&T.
- Understanding of engineering fundamentals and basic analysis skills.
- Strong desire to mentor and grow employees.
- Good understanding of thermodynamics and structural design in demanding environments.
- Willingness to work in various environmental conditions and extended hours.
