Responsibilities
- Generate new product concepts with a user-centered approach.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define functional solutions.
- Lead design studies to solve technical and user-experience challenges.
- Build and test low-fidelity prototypes based on user testing.
- Approach design challenges with curiosity and resilience.
- Work full-time, 40 hours per week, on-site in Needham, MA.
- Communicate ideas and solutions effectively to diverse audiences.
Job Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant program.
- Strong experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or Rhino).
- Proficiency in basic prototyping tools (3D printing, shop competency).
- Strong intuition for mechanical engineering and physics principles.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects with flexibility.
- Hands-on experience in building physical prototypes.
- Basic understanding of electronics and components used in small appliances is desirable.
