Responsibilities
- Support coordination of product details to generate cost estimates.
- Assist in building "should-cost" models based on product requirements.
- Analyze costed Bills of Materials (BOMs) to identify cost drivers and savings.
- Summarize findings in reports to influence design and sourcing strategies.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to understand pricing and cost structures.
- Propose innovative, cost-saving ideas while maintaining product intent.
- Participate in product reviews and cost optimization brainstorming sessions.
Job Requirements
- Current student in their third year or beyond of a bachelor's program or enrolled in a master’s program.
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week onsite.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, especially plastics and assembly methods.
- Experience with 3D CAD tools such as CREO or SolidWorks.
- Skilled in creating and delivering presentations that summarize insights.
