This role is based in the SF Bay Area. Some travel might be required to work with vendors and other design teams in Asia.
Responsibilities
- Own & drive schematic development, component selection and sourcing
- Conduct Design reviews, generate BOM and draft manufacturing documents
- Work with layout teams to drive efficient board placement and routing
- Evaluate vendor reference designs and create custom solutions to meet product requirements
- Collaborate with internal and external design and engineering & manufacturing teams to ensure an exceptional end-to-end user experience.
- Manage bring up & debug and support builds
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in electrical design for high-speed electronics
- Experience with board-level design and familiarity with high speed signal design (DDR, PCIe, USB, etc.)some text
- Signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and thermal knowledge is a plus.
- Experience with multi-layer PCB design and working collaboratively with mechanical engineering and layout teams
- Experience with various communication protocols like I2C, UART, SPI, etc.
- Experience with schematic and board design tools using Cadence, Altium or equivalentsome text
- Experience with 3D design modeling and SI/PI simulation tools is a plus
- Experience with power design involving regulator selection, PDN simulation and validation
- Experience with use of oscilloscopes, high speed digital test equipment, logic analyzers, or function generators
- Experience with lab bring up & debug and basic rework
