Electrical Engineering Co-Op- ASU

The role is for an Electrical Engineering Co-op at Samtec, focusing on Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit (RFIC) design, development, and testing. The position involves working with experienced engineers to design custom RFICs and using simulation tools for circuit design.

• Design, simulation, and layout of Analog/RF Integrated Circuit blocks.
• Learn to use Cadence Virtuoso design suite for simulation and creating schematics, symbols, and layouts.
• Analyze power consumption, component stress, and worst-case performance.
• Measure design parameters of fabricated ICs.
• Participate in design review processes.
• Define bench bring-up and test plans for validation and characterization of designs.
• Provide engineering support to Production and Applications Engineering teams.

• Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s Degree Program.
• Interest in transistor-level analog circuit design.
• Coursework in Analog IC design, RF and Microwave circuit design, Semiconductors, and Electromagnetism.
