Responsibilities
- Perform architectural design of embedded electrical systems to meet performance and power targets.
- Own the full hardware lifecycle, including PCB layout in Altium and transition to commercial production.
- Collaborate with firmware, software, and mechanical teams on hardware requirements.
- Utilize advanced lab instrumentation for prototyping, debugging, and validating hardware.
- Monitor design risks and implement corrective changes as necessary.
- Adhere to coding and design standards while improving hardware reliability and manufacturability.
- Provide updates on progress and technical decisions to managers and partners.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in electronics design for embedded systems.
- Proficiency in Altium Designer for PCB layout and specialized test equipment.
- Ability to resolve complex system-level issues in ambiguous environments.
- Strong communication skills for technical decisions and project status updates.
- Experience in a professional lab and manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of obtaining certifications for maritime equipment.
