Responsibilities
- Contribute to design reviews with expertise in design for manufacture and quality control.
- Perform initial value stream mapping and method of manufacture plans.
- Implement factory layouts and equipment selection for production.
- Develop and document production processes, including testing procedures.
- Interface with the quality team to resolve engineering quality responsibilities.
- Design and implement tooling and equipment for production improvement.
- Lead continuous improvement processes using lean tools and techniques.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, aerospace engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Understanding of fluid and structural mechanics fundamentals.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for aerospace materials.
- For II level: 2+ years of professional engineering experience in a regulated environment.
- Experience with assembly and testing of turbomachinery and combustion devices is preferred.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes like welding, machining, and additive manufacturing.
- Ability to work long hours and weekends based on test and launch schedules.
