Cartken is a startup at the forefront of last-mile delivery and autonomous robotics. Our team has experience solving some of the toughest challenges in autonomous vehicles, robotics, and operations at Google, Amazon, Apple, and Facebook. We have robots operating around the world providing reliable and cost-effective delivery in malls, kitchens, hotels, universities, industrial sites, and city streets. We are seeking a nimble Electrical Engineer to join our fast-paced team. The ideal candidate is comfortable with ambiguity and able to prioritize work amongst multiple simultaneous projects. You will drive the development of new products and solutions to enable new use cases for customers.  We expect strong ownership for delivering to our customer's needs, ranging from hands-on prototyping, PCB design, supplier management, and testing at our customers’ sites.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on prototyping and testing to validate design concepts and product solutions.
  • ‍Own PCBs, and electrical sub-systems from initial concept through production and deployment.
  • ‍Collaborate with our distributed team to troubleshoot robot issues in the field and the factory.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product and sales teams to deliver customer-oriented solutions.
  • ‍Build/maintain BOMs, SOPs, and other manufacturing documentation.
  • ‍Support builds at off-site partner facilities to ensure smooth product launches.
  • ‍Manage suppliers and ensure quality standards and deadlines are met.

Job Requirements

  • Proficient in written and spoken English.BS/MS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or significant demonstrated project experience).
  • ‍3+ years of experience in electrical design, validation, and integration of systems, subsystems, and components.
  • ‍Proficient in PCB CAD software (Altium, Cadence, KiCad, etc).
  • ‍Experience taking PCBs and cabling from concept to production, including sourcing manufacturing
  • ‍Strong understanding of digital circuits
  • ‍Ability to travel to production and customer sites.
  • ‍A self-starter & team player who is highly motivated to resolve problems and help the team succeed.
  • ‍Based in Phoenix and ability to travel
