Responsibilities
- Conduct deep dive and rapid response failure analysis investigations on power electronics and energy storage systems.
- Collaborate with electrical FA engineers and other engineering teams.
- Utilize high voltage test equipment for diagnostic and preventive maintenance testing.
- Prepare detailed failure analysis reports and present findings to project teams and executives.
- Recreate failure modes for in-depth analysis using environmental testing equipment.
- Maintain a dialogue on the capabilities of the Failure Analysis team.
- Ensure root cause identification for incidents from reliability testing and fielded systems.
Job Requirements
- MSc/PhD in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong background in testing and analysis of electrical components and systems.
- Proven experience in conducting failure analysis investigations.
- Hands-on experience with metrology equipment and high voltage failure analysis tools.
- Familiarity with lithium-ion battery chemistries and failure mechanisms is desirable.
- Experience in preparing formal reports summarizing analysis data.
