Responsibilities
- Design modular and reusable automated test equipment (ATE) using hardware frameworks and custom parts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define test requirements and system definitions.
- Design custom test PCBAs for automotive ECUs.
- Create rack-based test systems integrating PCBAs and off-the-shelf equipment.
- Document diagrams, bills of materials, and standard operating procedures for test automation systems.
- Work with internal teams on purchasing, station build, integration, and commissioning.
- Communicate requirements to technicians and ensure proper implementation.
Job Requirements
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in designing modular electrical hardware for test automation.
- Proficiency in reading electrical circuits and schematics.
- Experience in the automotive, semiconductor, or aerospace industries.
- Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN).
- Hands-on experience with automated test equipment in manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of automation instrumentation like programmable power supplies and signal analyzers.
