Responsibilities
- Design and analyze steel weldments for applying test loads to various hardware.
- Create drawings and work instructions for assembling new 3D printed parts into test stands.
- Write and execute test day procedures.
- Support design and data reviews of flight structures.
- Lead projects to completion on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with Additive, Design, Test, and Loads & Dynamics teams.
- Document work and provide recommendations in technical discussions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in a full cycle design engineering role.
- Working knowledge of structural analysis and testing.
- Fundamental knowledge of structural strength, stability, and fatigue failure mechanisms.
- Knowledge of additive and traditional manufacturing processes.
- Experience with NX/TeamCenter, Nastran, and ANSYS is a plus.
- Demonstrated record of timely project completion.
