Responsibilities
- Design and prototype efficient power converters for high-volume production.
- Create accurate time-domain control and thermal models for circuits.
- Select topologies, control algorithms, and components while considering engineering constraints.
- Perform critical circuit board layout for high-power conversion.
- Collaborate with software and mechanical development teams.
- Mentor test technicians in designing tests and interpreting results.
- Iterate rapidly on prototypes based on feedback from various stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power electronics.
- 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in power conversion.
- Familiarity with high-voltage design up to 2000VDC and 480VAC.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with semiconductor selection and protection circuit design.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium or similar CAD software.
- Proven track record in medium-to-high volume production experience.
