Responsibilities
- Design, build, and test passive and active opto-mechanical systems.
- Conduct performance analysis and generate qualification/inspection reports.
- Compare different designs and approaches based on key figures of merit.
- Collaborate with optical design, opto-mechanical design, and integrated photonics teams.
- Monitor and automate optical and opto-mechanical systems.
- Utilize scientific programming languages and optical simulation tools.
- Return to degree program after the internship completion.
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program.
- Graduation on or after 2026.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to contractual requirements.
- Experience with imaging and laser optics, including micro-optics.
- Familiarity with optical design programs (e.g., Code V, Zemax).
- Experience with mechanical design programs (e.g., Solid Works, Onshape).
- Strong interpersonal skills for cross-group collaboration.
