Responsibilities
- Drive the firmware design, implementation, and verification in both pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
- Assist in defining limits management solutions for future Qualcomm CPUs.
- Engage with open-source communities to contribute to processor architectures, device drivers, and firmware features.
- Collaborate with other teams on platform bring-up, debugging, and firmware lifecycle.
- Identify skills requirements and assist in hiring engineers.
- Characterize and tune solutions for power and thermal limiting for SoC subsystems.
- Provide input to SoC and platform architects on future designs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python.
- 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development (preferred).
- Proficient in writing and debugging C and assembly.
- Experience with RTOS or OS kernel environments.
- Familiarity with ARM v8 architecture is a plus.
- Experience in developing for pre-silicon environments, including simulators and FPGA emulation.
