Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for precision fabrication, assembly, and finishing operations.
- Translate R&D processes into stable, repeatable production methods.
- Collaborate with equipment engineers to specify, validate, and qualify vacuum-based process tools.
- Implement data-driven process control methods and establish key performance metrics.
- Own end-to-end performance metrics for assigned tools and processes.
- Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations or yield losses.
- Partner cross-functionally with R&D and Quality to enhance manufacturability and design improvements.
Job Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in semiconductor, precision optics, or advanced manufacturing environment.
- Experience with vacuum systems, leak checking, and process tool qualification.
- Proficiency with SPC, DOE, and data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab, Python).
- Strong understanding of precision mechanical assembly and metrology principles.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with precision polishing and transferring processes to high-volume manufacturing.
