Responsibilities
- Own specifications, methodology, setup, execution, and reporting of electrical safety and abuse tests.
- Adapt and develop test equipment for increased fidelity and new product requirements.
- Collaborate with the Systems engineering team to develop appropriate test methodologies.
- Provide clear documentation related to tests and capture identified failures.
- Design and implement new electro-mechanical test fixtures and automation scripts.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues with test equipment.
- Create and maintain test procedures and reports in cloud-based systems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of testing experience in automotive or transportation industries.
- Experience in executing destructive safety and abuse tests.
- Proficiency with LabVIEW and data acquisition systems.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB.
- Experience with automotive CAN and J1939 communication networks.
- Background in an R&D testing environment.
