Aerospace Engineering Intern, 2026

The Aerospace Engineering Intern will assist in developing and testing the aerodynamic and performance characteristics of next-generation composite aircraft, providing exposure to the aircraft development process from simulation to validation.

• Assist in developing aerodynamic surfaces and configurations using CFD tools
• Support performance analyses for aerodynamic and flight efficiency studies
• Compare CFD and analytical results to wind tunnel or flight test data
• Contribute to flight dynamics modeling and simulation for stability and control evaluation
• Prepare and refine geometry in CAD for aerodynamic analysis
• Work on design trade studies balancing aerodynamic performance and manufacturability
• Document aerodynamic results and participate in test preparation and data review

• Pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Familiarity with CFD tools like ANSYS Fluent or OpenFOAM
• Basic understanding of aerodynamics and aircraft performance
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or Fusion 360
• Interest in aerodynamic optimization and performance analysis
• Ability to process and visualize simulation or flight data
• Motivated learner with a hands-on mindset and strong attention to detail
