Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of mechanical engineers focused on robotic system design, testing, and implementation.
- Own the full hardware development lifecycle from concept and prototyping to high-volume manufacturing.
- Drive technical excellence in mechanical design to meet performance, safety, cost, and reliability goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design objectives and resolve integration challenges.
- Oversee the creation of detailed 3D CAD models and engineering documentation.
- Guide efforts in structural analysis and hardware testing to validate designs.
- Support production scaling by partnering with manufacturing and supply chain teams.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Proficient in CAD software such as Onshape and SolidWorks.
- Experience in designing for manufacturability with knowledge of various manufacturing processes.
- Strong skills in mechanical analysis, prototyping, and iterative testing.
- Ability to manage hardware development timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for translating engineering problems into actionable plans.
- Passionate about mentoring and team development.
